I am most gratified to have received a rating of “Excellent” from Avvo.com, a nationwide directory and rating service for attorneys. Avvo.com is a fairly new company whose rating service has undergone some scrutiny by some Bar Associations; accordingly one should not use any specific rating service as an absolute guide but conduct independent research as to the qualifications, experience and skill set of an attorney before hiring one, myself specifically included.
That said, it is an honor and I am very gratified to have received this distinction. I should note that Avvo.com periodically reviews its attorneys’ ratings to adjust them up (for additional professional accomplishments or distinctions) or less commonly down (if achievements are somewhat distant in the past or the attorney has suffered an ethical demerit or reprimand.) Accordingly my “Excellent” rating remains subject to constant reconsideration by Avvo.com pursuant to its judgment and analysis.
